  • One on one Personal Training

    If you want to exercise by yourself and need some help getting started, or maybe you're getting back into exercise, then PT is for you. Our PT sessions are tailored to you, so we get to know you, your body, your goals and your abilities. And our sessions are always fun!
  • Small group Personal Training (Classes)

    Our classes are small on purpose, so we can make the workout suit you. We are masters at adapting any workout or exercise. There’s no hiding at the back of our classes. You get all the support and attention you need. This way, you learn, stay consistent and keep improving. We do this while making it as fun as possible!
  • Two on one Personal Training

    If you don't like to exercise in a group, but like the idea of working out with a friend or Partner, or even a work colleague. Our PT sessions are tailored to you, so we get to know you, your body, your goals and your abilities. And our sessions are always fun!

I started training at the fitness state earlier this year when I moved to Geelong. I couldn’t be happier with my choice – Ngaire is a fantastic trainer. Every session is different which I love because I feel constantly challenged. Ngaire pushes you to work hard but she is also really aware of teaching you the right technique and making sure what you are doing is safe. I love that the emphasis is on how you feel and not how you look. I’ve never felt so comfortable at a gym – completely focussed on what I am doing rather than how I look or what other people are doing. It is also a lovely, light-filled space in a convenient location. If you are looking for a place to work hard on increasing your strength and fitness, move in different ways, feel good about yourself and have a lot of laughs along the way then this is the place for you.

The Fitness State has a welcoming and friendly environment which caters to all fitness levels. Owner/Trainer Ngaire's postive attitude and knowledge makes her the best trainer you could hope for.

Ngaire is an amazing trainer who is adaptable and flexible to get the best out of you every time you train. She has a wealth of knowledge and her focus is on strength and mobility, to get the body moving freely and comfortably so you can live life to the fullest. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

What we're about.

We believe that fitness is for every body, no matter your shape or size. 
We focus on how good exercise makes you feel, rather than the aesthetics. 

We specialise in injury preventation, rehab and mindset. 
And we work with all sorts of women and men in Geelong West and surrounding areas.  

We believe that strength training can dramatically improve not only your physical health, but also your mental health. 

Unlike a traditional gym, we created The Fitness State Personal Training Studio, as a space that you can feel safe in and really get to work on your fitness, strength, mindset and improving your health, whether you're new to exercise or returning to exercise. 

We offer one on one Personal Training and small Group PT. Our group sessions (classes) are kept small so we can focus on technique and getting you to move well.
